Adobe
Portable Document Format (PDF) is the open de facto standard for
electronic document distribution worldwide. Adobe PDF is a universal
file format that preserves all of the fonts, formatting, colors, and
graphics of any source document, regardless of the application and
platform used to create it. PDF files are compact and can be viewed,
navigated, and printed exactly as intended by anyone with the free
Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Adobe® Acrobat® Reader™ is free, and freely
distributable, software that lets you view and print Adobe Portable
Document Format (pdf) files.
Pdf files maintain the look of original documents
as they would appear in print.
The free reader facilitates the use of these
documents for digital distribution.
If you do not have Acrobat Reader installed on your
computer, go to the free Get
Acrobat Reader site and
install the latest version. The Acrobat help file will lead you through
various view and print options which are very easy to master.

You must first install the free reader as
referenced above. It is very simple and the Adobe site has extensive
information about their product.
After downloading, find the file (while on or
off-line) and open it. The reader software will automatically be opened
to display the document.
If you have trouble finding the pdf, try " find
files or folders" on your Start Menu, type *.pdf in the named box.
Click find now and all of the pdf files will be listed.

If you successfully transferred the file it will be
stored in your computer with the extension .pdf .
You need to be familiar with your browser and how it handles pdf files.
They will most likely be in a download file, temp file, or the folder
which you targeted it to. Note that newer browsers
can be configured to view page at a time viewing of some pdf files
within the browser. However, if you choose this method of viewing
instead of downloading you will not be able to view it later with the
reader software.
If you have trouble finding the pdf, try " find
files or folders" on your Start Menu, type *.pdf in the named box.
Click find now and all of the pdf files will be listed.

Downloads can be time consuming depending on modem
speeds, file sizes and other factors. First, you probably should not
waste your time downloading information that you do not want. When you
are downloading something of interest you will not mind waiting,
especially when compared to other means of getting the same
information.

I suggest some additional time at Adobe’s site.
They are the best source for questions of this type.

No, not at all. But I, as are many others, are
excited about expanding on the use of this format for delivering
information on demand.
